Credit Repair

Credit repair is not something to be taken lightly, and unlike your debts - which can be negotiated - you will have to do all the work where credit repair is concerned.

Credit Repair

You can't negotiate your way to credit repair - thats the bad news. You can however negotiate down the amount you owe to any specific creditor...which will also serve to lower your credit score - thats the other bad news. The good news is that with negotiation you can lower your overall debts - and while doing so might not be conducive to credit repair, it can get you out of your current debt pit and in a position to really work on your credit situation.

Spending credit to make credit

Money, credit - its basically the same thing, and as with money if you have credit you'll want to keep that credit around. Like money, however, you have to earn credit, and a major component of credit repair is showing your creditors just how focused you are on the problem, and how determined you are to solve the problem ASAP.

So - negotiate down your debts to a level thats manageable and hopefully one that can be repaid in a short period of time. Then prepare for the credit downfall - you will take a hit when you negotiate down your debts because you are not completely fulfilling your side of the bargain. Yet with the repayment of your debts you'll be in a better, more advantageous that before to actually take a stand against your falling credit scores.

Fighting back with credit repair

Once your at a clean and level bottom, start borrowing. Borrow smart - low APRs and in amounts you can easily manage, but borrow because the best thing you can do for your credit repair is to borrow away. And keep focused, because credit repair is not something that will happen over night, and only those who put in the time will come out the other end with a positive credit situation.
